Police searching for hit-and-run driver involved in South Jersey woman's death

The incident occurred Monday night in Galloway Township, New Jersey

Police in Galloway Township, New Jersey, are searching for the driver of what is thought to be a silver SUV that hit and killed a 27-year-old woman on Monday evening before fleeing the scene.

Witnesses told police that the victim, Aubrey Servis, was walking within the crosswalk on a green light at around 10:20 p.m. when the driver blew through a red light and hit her. Servis, of Little Egg Harbor, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred at the intersection of East White Horse Pike and Sixth Avenue in Galloway Township, police report.

Witnesses said the vehicle was possibly a silver 1990s model Chevy Tahoe or Suburban. There may also be damage to the driver side door, where it struck Servis.
