Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who severely beat a woman at a home in Hunting Park on Thursday, inflicting injuries that resulted in her death.
According to authorities, the 49-year-old female victim was found just after 1 p.m. inside the second-floor bedroom of a home on the unit block of North Percy Street. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Police did not identify the victim pending notification of her family.
No arrests have been made and no weapons were recovered at the scene. Investigators have yet to determine a motive in the fatal attack.
