Police: Woman sought for assault after pouring bleach on shopper, child

A woman allegedly poured bleach on a shopper and a child after an argument at a Delaware department store, according to police.

The incident occurred August 4 around 5:50 p.m. at the Target located at on Brandywine Parkway in Wilmington.

Authorities said the 24-year-woman was upset that another female customer was blocking the aisle with a shopping cart. After the victim moved the cart, the suspect pushed her cart into the victim's cart. The collision led to an argument between the two women.

Eventually, the suspect obtained a bottle of bleach and poured it on the victim's head. A one-year-old child in the victim's cart was also hit with bleach.

The suspect fled the store with a man and left the area in a white vehicle.

The 24-year-old victim and her child were taken to Wilmington Hospital where they were treated.
