Foodies can celebrate 'Pork of July' over Independence Day weekend

Standard Tap to throw a pork-centric barbecue for the holiday

This Fourth of July weekend, Standard Tap wants Philly to enjoy the freedom to eat as much pork as possible. The Northern Liberties restaurant will host "Pork of July," beginning on July 1.

During the event, Standard Tap's dinner and brunch menus will feature pork chops, bacon, ribs, pork belly and more pork-centric delicacies.

To wash down all the food, the restaurant has picked out "BBQ-friendly" beers. Plus, those who order a pitcher of beer will get two hot dogs for free.

T-shirts will also be on sale for $20, to commemorate the holiday.
