International Irish dance show "Riverdance" will be in Philadelphia at The Academy of Music beginning on June 14. The Philly performances are part of the production's 20th Anniversary World Tour.
In the past 20 years, over 25 million people in over 465 venues worldwide have seen "Riverdance" live. Traditional Irish dancing and music gets a modern twist in the production that exposes audiences to a slice of Irish culture -- jigging is not reserved solely for St. Patrick's Day!
For the anniversary show, there are new costumes, new lighting, new projections and the addition of a new number, “Anna Livia,” featuring the female members of the Irish dance troupe in an acapella hard-shoe number.
Here's a peak at what to expect during "Riverdance:"
Tickets start at $20, with varied show times through June 19.
