Road resurfacing on Kelly Drive designed to improve safety will affect traffic in Philadelphia this week.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that lane restrictions will be in place between 25th Street and Hunting Park Avenue, Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
Road crews will repair and resurface the roadway and install curb ramps along a three-and-a-half mile stretch.
PennDOT said the road will be paved with an ultra-thin friction course pavement that will improve traction for drivers and help move storm water off the roadway.
The work is part of a $1.8 million federally-funded project that is expected to finish in June.
