Rod Brind’Amour inducted into Flyers Hall of Fame

Now an assistant coach with the Carolina Hurricanes, Rod Brind’Amour played nine of his 21 NHL seasons for the Philadelphia Flyers. 633 games played, 235 goals, and 366 assists are his final offensive numbers in Orange and Black, but they don’t nearly tell the entire story. A great defensive center, Brind’Amour would later go on to win two Selke trophies and a Stanley Cup in Carolina.

Before Monday night’s game, the Flyers inducted Brindy into their Hall of Fame. Here is the video of his (very good) speech. Come for the stories about Ron Hextall’s temper, stay for the dig at Bobby Clarke:
