‘Shark Tank’ will hold Philly auditions this month

If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur looking for your big break, you could be in luck. On June 28, folks from ABC’s "Shark Tank," where contestants pitch business ideas to experts in the industry in the hopes of being funded, is holding auditions in Philadelphia.

A few Philadelphians have found some exposure from the show in the past, including Jess Edelstein and Sarah Ribner, who appeared on the show in 2016 to promote their all-natural deodorant company, PiperWai.

Also notable is Chris Gray, a Drexel alum whose app Scholly, which helps users search for college scholarships, received $40,000 of funding from "Shark Tank." Gray appeared on the show in 2015, and following his appearance, the app ranked as one of the top downloads for weeks.

If you’re feeling inspired, check out the online application and prepare to shine on the 28th at XFINITY Live! from 9-11 a.m.
