In South Philly, neighbors come together to create epic holiday lights displays each year. The Miracle on 13th Street is the most well-known, but there are other blocks that go all-out, too.

This year, several bars in South Philly also want to show off their decorating skills. The first-ever South Philly Christmas Crawl Throwdown will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

It's a competition mixed with a bar crawl.

Pistola’s Del Sur, Le Virtu, Bing Bing Dim Sum, ITV, Manatawny Still Works and Garage are participating.

The bars will be judged in these amusing categories:

• Illumination
• Flammability
• Staff participation
• Yuletide fuzziness
• "How South Philly are you?"

The crawl starts at Pistola’s Del Sur and ends at Garage, where the winner will be chosen by bar crawl participants.
