U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez and his wife were indicted Friday on charges that they took bribes of cash, gold and a luxury car in exchange for using his political influence to benefit three businessmen and the nation of Egypt. Menendez previously was indicted on corruption charges in 2015, but his case ended in a mistrial.

The Menzingers filmed their latest music video, 'Come On Heartache,' at Lynnewood Hall in Elkins Park. The Gilded Age mansion was built from 1897 to 1900 for industrialist Peter A.B. Widener and was acquired this summer by the Lynnewood Hall Preservation Foundation. The Menzingers' next album, 'Some Of It Was True,' will be out via Epitaph Records on Oct. 13.

Philadelphia police are cracking down on car meets, where drivers drift and do burnouts at major intersections. Authorities towed two vehicles connected to car meets that happened last weekend in South Philly at Broad Street and Washington Avenue, and in Northeast Philly at Frankford at Cottman avenues. On top of possible criminal charges, a new law could soon enable police to issue violations with fines of up to $2,000 for drivers who participate in such car meets.

Lyme disease vaccines have not been available since 2002, when Lymerix was pulled off the market in the U.S. But Pfizer and Valneva SE have a shot in late clinical trials, and Penn Medicine is among others developing new vaccines.
Lyme disease cases, caused by deer ticks, have doubled in the U.S. since 2000, according to the CDC.

Philadelphia International Airport was ranked the worst large airport in North America for the third straight year by J.D. Power's annual traveler satisfaction survey. Although PHL's score improved this year, the state of the airport's terminals and other infrastructure continue to keep it at the bottom of the rankings. PHL CEO Atif Saeed said upgrades to terminals and other public areas are top priorities to improve the travel experience.

Wildwood police are warning organizers and promoters of the unsanctioned H2oi car rally not to return to the city this year. At last year's event on Sept. 24, two people were killed and several others were injured as a result of unruly behavior connected to the pop-up car meet, which brought hundreds of drivers to the city. Four people were charged with crimes in connection with last year's car rally.

Dion Lewis, a star running back at the University of Pittsburgh, was charged with trespassing after he allegedly caused a disturbance at a the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa in Florida. Lewis played 10 seasons in the NFL with the Eagles, Patriots, Titans and Giants. He appeared in two Super Bowls with the Patriots, winning one.
