New York Giants safety Jabrill Peppers tweeted side-by-side photos of Kadarius Toney, the team's first-round pick, and Philadelphia Eagles first-round pick DeVonta Smith. Peppers suggested Toney's smile showed he's happy to play in New York, while Smith's serious expression suggests otherwise about his destination in Philly. Giants fans, however, have a had a few meltdowns in response to the 2021 NFL Draft.

Pennsylvania will lift all remaing COVID-19 restrictions on restaurants, gatherings and other businesses on Memorial Day, May 31. The state's mask mandate will stay in effect until 70% of the population is fully vaccinated. Philadelphia has not yet committed to Pennsylvania's timeline for ending COVID-19 restrictions.

The core of China's Long March 5B Y2 rocket, launched on April 29, did not deorbit and is currently circling around Earth with an expected crash in the coming days or week. The 100-foot tall core was spotted traveling at more than 15,800 mph and could pose a threat to parts of the United States, including Philadelphia, if it makes its reentry over U.S. skies.

A Millville mother and daughter are suing a local McDonald's in South Jersey where they allegedly purchased a burger with poop stains on its wrapper earlier this year. The family is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages after they say they were sickened and suffered emotional distress.

Sabrina's Café has permanently closed its location in Philadelphia's Italian Market, where the restaurant first opened at 910 Christian St. in 2001. Four other Sabrina's Café locations — Art Museum, University City, Wynnewood and Collingswood — will remain open.

As the Philadelphia Eagles traded up with the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft to select Alabama's DeVonta Smith, one New York Giants fan's soul was crushed during a livestream. The Giants, who appear to have been targeting Smith, traded back and later selected Florida wide receiver Kadarius Toney.

Bruce Bartman, 70, of Marple Township, was sentenced to five years of probation after pleading guilty to casting a ballot for his dead mother in the 2020 presidential election, voting for Donald Trump on her behalf. Bartman unsuccessfully tried to do the same for his deceased mother-in-law. He will be prohibited from voting for four years.

Gregory Smith, 21, is charged with murder and related offenses stemming from the shooting of 21-year-old Dominic Billa-Lewis at the orange food court of the Philadelphia Mills mall on March 29, 2020. Billa-Lewis was the step-son of a county homicide detective, according to prosecutors.
