These two images of the suspect were captured by the banks' surveillance cameras and released by the FBI.

The FBI and Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect in a robbery Sunday at a Republic Bank branch in the city's Mayfair section.

The male suspect in the weekend robbery at the branch at 7300 Frankford Ave. is also believed to be responsible for the June 8 robbery of the Republic Bank branch at 8764 Frankford Ave. in the Pennypack Woods section of the city, according to the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force and police.

In each robbery, the subject entered the bank and handed a teller a demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled.

He is described as a white male in his mid to late 20s, thin build, with blue eyes, a beard, and tattoos on both arms. At both robberies on Sunday and June 8, the subject wore a dark-colored baseball cap and messenger bag.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about these robberies or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
