Temple University will be holding an active-shooter drill Wednesday morning.
The drill begins at 8:30 a.m. near Barton Hall on Temple's main campus. Police and EMS will be on site to simulate their response to an active-shooter event.
School officials will use the drill to identify strengths and potential areas of improvement in emergency response.
There is no need to be alarmed by the increased police presence.
