The Roots, Philly natives who have played at the annual Fourth of July concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway since 2009, reportedly won't headline the Wawa Welcome America! Festival this year.
Billy Penn reported that a source close to the band told them, "the current administration has no headliner planned as of yet."
Then, Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson linked to the website's article Wednesday morning and commented "#goodluckwiththat," adding fuel to the rumor.

Whatever new changes are happening for the Fourth of July festival this year, we'll have to wait to find out the full details.
A press conference is scheduled for sometime in the upcoming weeks to discuss changes happening at the Wawa Welcome America! Festival.
