Three teens charged in beating death of homeless man in Northeast Philly

Three teenagers have been charged for their alleged involvement in the beating death of a homeless man in Northeast Philadelphia last week.

Police announced Monday that Brandon Conrad, 14, Malik Page, 16, and Emmanuel Harris, 17, were taken into custody Sunday for the attack on Kevin Cullen, 57, in Mayfair on Nov. 26.

Officers responded to a robbery call and found Cullen lying on the ground unconscious on the 4200 block of Loring Street around 6 p.m. He was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead 13 hours later.

Cullen had no permanent address and had stayed with various people, according to media reports.

All three suspects are being charged as adults. Conrad, of the 4600 block of Oakmont Street, and Page, of the 4700 block of Oakmont, have been charged with criminal conspiracy, murder, robbery and related offenses.

Harris, of the 4400 block of Shelmire Street, is charged with attempted Murder, aggravated assault, robbery and related offenses.

Police scheduled a press conference for 3 p.m. Monday to discuss the charges.
