The real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League inspired the film "A League of Their Own."

On the first Thursday of the month, the Philadelphia Film Society hosts Throwback Thursday Quizzo at the Prince Theater.

Teams play a few rounds of Quizzo with questions inspired by a popular film, then the movie is screened. At the end, trivia winners receive prizes.

March's movie will be "A League of Their Own," in honor of Women's History Month. Real women on The All-American Girls Professional Ball League were the inspiration for the film.

The plot tells an empowering story of female strength.

Tickets for the event are $13 per person (Philadelphia Film Society members receive a discount). Drinks will be available for purchase at the event. Only those 21-plus will be allowed to attend.

April's Throwback Thursday pick is "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion."
