Pat’s King of Steaks is serving authentic Italian white truffles on its signature cheesesteaks at lunchtime today only, Nov. 17, starting at 12:30 p.m.
The whiz wit ’shrooms combo is a one-time-only thing, Philly.com reports, and if you want in, you should head to the South Philadelphia shop stat.
But be warned, the specialty cheesesteak will cost you $20 since the truffle shavings are the real deal and are straight from Alba, Italy.
Philly.com reports Pat’s owner, Frank Olivieri, got his hands on the delicacy at an auction supporting the National Italian American Foundation on Sunday for a whopping $2,500.
There’s no mention of the size, so there’s no telling how long this offering will last. Pat’s King of Steaks is located at 1237 E. Passyunk Ave.
