Trader Joe’s Raw Cashew Pieces

Trader Joe's has issued a recall of raw cashews sold in its stores due to potential salmonella.

The company said bags of Trader Joe’s Raw Cashew Pieces with the code “BEST BEFORE 07.17.2016TF4” could be contaminated. Out of an abundance of caution, however, all bags have been removed from shelves.

The product was distributed to Trader Joe’s stores in a number of states, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

No related illnesses have been reported, the company said.

Anyone who purchased cashews with the specified lot code is encouraged to discard the product or to return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

Concerned consumers may call Trader Joe’s Customer Relations at (626) 599-3817 or send an email here.
