WATCH: Man assaulted, robbed after North Philly car crash, police say

Philadelphia police are seeking help identifying this man, who police say beat and robbed a man who was involved in a car crash in North Philadelphia on Dec. 4.

Philadelphia police are seeking help identifying an individual they say assaulted and robbed a man sitting in his own vehicle after being involved in a crash in North Philadelphia on the morning of Dec. 4.

According to police, on that day at about 10:52 a.m., a 25-year-old man was involved in a car crash on the 200 block of W. Tioga St. 

Police say while the man was sitting inside his vehicle, another man approached, opened the driver's side door and began punching the victim in his face. 

The incident was captured on a camera in the vehicle. Watch the video here: 

Police say that after the incident, the assailant took the victim's iPhone 6 and tablet and then fled in an unknown direction. 

He is described as a black male who is about 30 years old with a beard and was wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.

The victim was transported to Temple Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries, police say.
