WATCH: Stephen A. Smith unloads on 'The Process' after wild Sixers opener

The universe of takes was lit ablaze on Wednesday night when your Philadelphia 76ers — in a rare moment over the past several years — became the center of attention in the NBA.

Yes, the Thunder ultimately spoiled Joel Embiid's impressive 20 point debut at the end of a tight game, but there were lots of other things going on at the Wells Fargo Center that enthralled the internet well into Thursday.

• The Sixers fan who gave two middle fingers to Russell Westbrook explained why he did it

• Players held a meeting after would-be national anthem singer Sevyn Streeter said she was blocked from performing due to her "We Matter" jersey

• Fans tore Desiigner's unusual halftime performance to shreds

• Twitter had itself plenty of Hinkie-inspired fun over the "Trust the Process" chants at the arena

This is sensitive stuff for ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, a longtime Philly beat reporter who occasionally talks about the Sixers in somber tones on "First Take."

Guess what, Sixers fans? He's not happy with you!
