According to police, the incident unfolded at about 9:15 a.m. on April 25, outside of a Starbucks Coffee Shop at 1600 Arch Street. At that time, police said the suspect -- described as a black female, about 40 years old, standing about five feet, 10 inches and weighing about 130 pounds, and dressed in pink pants and carrying a pink bag at the time of the incident - was involved in an altercation with a 54-year-old female victim.

During the incident, police said, while inside the shop, the suspect "threw a coffee stirrer" at the victim, and when both women went outside, the women continued to argue and the suspect threw coffee into the victim's face.
The suspect, police said, then punched the victim in her face and body, grabbed the victim's hair and threw her to the ground.
When the victim fell, law enforcement officials said, the suspect continued punching her until a bystander broke up the assault.
