The "Trenton Makes The World Takes" sign on the Lower Trenton Bridge over the Delaware River in Trenton, N.J.

A woman jumped from the "Trenton Makes" bridge in an apparent suicide attempt Tuesday morning, NJ.com reports.

The woman, who has not been identified, was pulled from the Delaware River by rescue crews unharmed.

Trenton Fire Chief Frank Seidel said she jumped from the bridge shortly after 7 a.m.

Rescue crews dispatched a boat and found the woman in the river several hundred yards south of the bridge, near Arm & Hammer Park. She was pulled from the river and brought to emergency crews on the docks near the baseball park.

"Other than being wet, she's physically fine,'' Seidel told NJ.com.

According to Seidel, the woman told rescue crews that she intended to harm herself.
