Philadelphia police have made an arrest in the sexual assault and robbery of a female Temple student last month.
Shakree Bennett, 23, is accused of sexually assaulting and robbing a 20-year-old female victim at gunpoint on the 1400 block of Carlisle St. in North Philadelphia on Sept. 28.
According to police, Bennet was extradited from Essex County, New Jersey, and transported to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit for arrest on Wednesday.
He is charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated assault, sexual assault, robbery, simple assault, violations of the uniform firearms act, theft, receiving stolen property, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and possessing instruments of crime.
