Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest, Philadelphia’s largest outdoor ice skating rink and winter wonderland, returns to the waterfront.

Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest is now open for the 2018 season. The waterfront rink has stunning views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. It's surrounded by an outdoor winter garden with fire pits, decorated trees and twinkling lights.

The Lodge's lounge area is perfect for groups.

There's also the cozy, ski chalet-inspired Lodge, where visitors can warm up on couches in front of electric fireplaces. Food options inside include Chickie's & Pete's, Jose Garces' Village Burger and Franklin Fountain (also a post outside). At the Lodge's bar, there are hot drinks and craft beers.

For large parties, warming cabins are available to rent. They're decorated with blankets, pillows, holiday greens, heaters and a fireplace.

Opening weekend visitors can expect added family-friendly fun at the waterfront attraction. Through Sunday, Nov. 25, there will be face painting, karaoke, circus performers and an appearance by the Grinch.

Winterfest's full season of programming includes Holiday Tree Lighting Powered by PECO, New Year’s Eve Parties on Ice, SugarHouse New Year's Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront, Winterfest Brewfest, Latin Night at the Lodge and Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Skate.
