While full results of an autopsy on the body of three-year-old Brendan Link Creato are pending, preliminary results have been inconclusive regarding the boy's manner of death.

While results of an autopsy are still pending, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Haddon Township police announced Wednesday they have found no evidence of sexual abuse in the death of three-year-old Brendan Creato.

Brendan's body was found by a K-9 unit in a wooded area along South Park Drive, near the Cooper River, in the township on Oct. 13.

Law enforcement officials also said there were no signs of forced entry at the boy's home on the 100 block of Cooper Street.

The boy's body was located about three-quarters of a mile from the home that Brendan shared with his father and grandparents.

The toddler was reported missing at about 6 a.m. that day and was found dead about three hours later.

On Wednesday, officials said detectives will continue to be present in the Haddon Township area as the investigation continues.

In a release, both agencies said they are "aware of the public's concerns" and thanked the community for cooperating with police efforts.

Police again asked that anyone with information that could help police investigating this case to contact Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Michael Rhoads at (856) 225-8561 or Haddon Township Police Detective Don Quinn at (856) 833-6208.
