Jazz lovers invited to all-day festival with 20 live performances

Music lovers, circle the dates for the annual Center City Jazz Fest, a daylong spring feast of hot riffs and cool jams. With the purchase of one ticket, fans can groove to almost two dozen bands performing at multiple locations, all within walking distance of one another.

The sixth annual Center City Jazz Festival will take place on Saturday, April 29. For $20 ($25 day-of), Philadelphians can enjoy 20 performances.

Five Center City bars will serve as the festival's venue: Franky Bradley's, Chris' Jazz Cafe, Fergie's Pub, Milkboy and TIME.

Chris' Jazz Cafe is a new participant this year. All locations are within a 10-minute walk from each other.

The day will begin at 1 p.m. and conclude after six hours of live jazz music.

Performers include Eric Wortham, George “Spanky” McCurdy, Josh Lawrence and Color Theory, Odean Pope and other talented musicians.
