The One Book, One Philadelphia selection for 2017 is Mark Haddon's "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time."
Simon Stephens' play by the same name will be performed at the Academy of Music beginning Feb. 28. Those who read the book can enhance their experience by viewing the work in a different medium.
One Book, One Philadelphia encourages Philadelphians to come together by reading and then discussing a single book.
The plot unfolds around a 15-year-old boy who must get to the bottom of the mysterious death of his neighbor's dog.
Tickets for the Broadway Philadelphia performance start at $20.
Ahead of the show’s local engagement, the Kimmel Center and Philadelphia Free Library are hosting a free event to celebrate both the book and the show on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. The free event will be held at the Kimmel Center. Reservation required to attend.
