'It's Always Sunny' premieres new season; 'Sisters' releases trailer

It's been a busy week for small-screen comedy.

Tonight, Jan. 14, the Season 10 premiere of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia hits FX. You can catch antics of the endlessly self-absorbed clan of drunkards at 10pm.

A self-help book ( the gang landed a publishing deal, according to the book description) is also out, "The 7 Secrets of Awakening the Highly Effective Four-hour Giant, Today," so get your life advice in a mixed media way.

"While his actual ability to read and write remains unclear, Charlie sealed the deal with some off-the-cuff commentary on bird law and the nuances of killing rats (and maybe with the help of some glue fumes in the basement with an unstable editor on a bender)."

If the gang lands a publishing deal on the show, the meta cycle will be complete. Expect to see farm animals, the return of Rickety Cricket and a cameo by real-life friend Dax Shepard

In other funny news, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's movie "Sisters" released a trailer Sunday you can see here. The flick stars the pair as sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom, and of course throw a major party. In it, Amy Poehler gets called out for being visibly older than her "sister," Fey, but in fact the "30 Rock" star is one year older than her Golden Globes cohort. Playing fast and loose with the facts there, female comedians.

"Sisters" premieres December 18. Your extended TV family welcomes you.
