Tuck it away, Shady!

Jason Peters was ranked as the 40th-best player in the NFL by his peers in the NFL's Top 100 list. Previously, Eagles RB/returner Darren Sproles came in at number 81, and OLB Connor Barwin was listed at 58th. Here's the video NFL.com put together of Peters, which includes footage of Peters playing TE in college:

• Ben Watson, Saints TE: "I played at Georgia, and he was at Arkansas. So when we watched film we would see this 280 pound tight end. He's an incredible athlete because he has the feet of a tight end but the size and the strength of an offensive tackle."

• Matt Barkley, Eagles QB: "He's just such a seemingly immovable object. He can kick back any defensive end, he can just stand firm, and at 320 whatever he is as a left tackle, he can still get an edge on a toss sweep to get out in front of a running back."

• Darren Sproles, Eagles RB: "I had a run against the Giants, and I came through the side, and then the linebacker showed up, but when I saw (Peters) pulling that's what got me in the end zone."

• Kelvin Beachum, Steelers OT: "The best tackle in the NFL right now? I would say Jason Peters. Great punch, he's always on his feet. Even when he gets bull rushed he's able to sit down quickly."

• Calais Campbell, Cardinals DE: "Probably the most athletic offensive lineman in the league."

• Ryan Kerrigan, Redskins OLB: "To be 340 or whatever he is and have that kind of movement skills, it's almost unfair."

Peters is up from 67 on the list a year ago. Here are the quotes from Peters' appearance on the 2014 Top 100 list, as well as his video:

• Old friend Evan Mathis: "He's a top 100 player, absolutely. The dude is an amazing tackle. Most people know the story of how he came into the league, an undrafted free agent who was initially a tight end. They saw the athleticism that was there and the size that was there, and they moved him to tackle, and the rest is history... He can play games with people, just doing what he wants out there sometimes."

Jason Hatcher, Redskins DE: "First of all, he's big. He's like 340, and he's quick as a cat, man. He's just one of those left tackle that will go down in the category of guys like Walter Jones."

King Dunlap, Chargers OT: "Most offensive linemen, we're kind of good at one thing, so-so at other things. He's really good at everything. It's the NFL. Everyone gets beat, but it's a rare occasion for him. That's just the kind of dominant player he is and that's why they're successful right now."

Jeremy Maclin, Eagles WR: "It goes to show why (LeSean) McCoy led the league in rushing, and why Nick (Foles) was able to have the amount of success that he had. (He's) the best offensive tackle in this league."
