The Kimmel Center is spicing things up

Kimmel Center G. Widman/Visit Philadelphia™

The Kimmel Center is home to the Philadelphia Orchestra, Philly Pops, Philadanco, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and other art groups.

The Kimmel Center is spicing things up. As of Nov. 7, almost all shows taking place in the Kimmel Center’s SEI Innovation Studio will be BYOB. The shows chosen for the new initiative will be inventive and edgy, with lower ticket prices.

Here are the BYO details: A six-pack of beer or a 750ml bottle of wine can be brought to the theater. No liquor or open containers will be permitted. There's a limit of one bottle of wine or one six-pack per two patrons. Ice, cups and corking service will be available at no cost.

The BYOB shows include:

Dec. 1-3: "The Outer Space"
Jan. 15-16: The Jones Family Singers
Feb. 9-11: "Ryan Raftery is the Most Powerful Woman in Fashion – The Anna Wintour Musical"
Mar. 16-18: "Lashed But Not Leashed" with Dito van Reigersberg as Martha Graham Cracker
April 1Aaron Diehl Trio
April 13: Cyrus Chestnut Trio
May 4-6: Jomama Jones in "Black Light"
All Kimmel Center Jazz Residency workshops and performances

The SEI Innovation Studio is located in the Kimmel Center at 300 South Broad Street. Take the elevator two levels below the ground floor to find the space.
