Penn Museum celebrating Lunar New Year with festival

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at the Penn Museum.

The Penn Museum is hosting an early Lunar New Year festival on Saturday with lion dancers, K-pop music and a martial arts demonstration.

There will be a drop-in calligraphy workshop, arts & craft stations, a movie and stand-up comedy, too. From 1 to 5 p.m., everything's free with museum admission.

After 5, admission to the evening portion, where adults can enjoy cocktails and dance, will be $15 ($10 for museum members).

1-8 p.m.Design a fan and lantern
 1-8 p.m. Write down wishes for the year
 1-8 p.m.Play a traditional Korean board game 
In many Asian countries, the Lunar New Year, which starts Feb. 5 and ends Feb. 19,  is among the most important and festive holidays of the year.
