Man sought for armed robbery in Feltonville; another suspect surrenders to police

Police are searching for a man involved in an armed robbery of a grocery store in the Feltonville section of Philadelphia.

The incident occurred Monday, June 13 around 7 p.m. at the Higueyano Minimarket located at 426 West Cayuga Street.

Two men entered the store with handguns. One suspect walked behind the counter, while the other suspect watched near the counter. Speaking in Spanish, the first suspect demanded money and took an undisclosed amount of money and several packs of cigarettes worth $280. Both suspects fled the area. The second suspect turned himself into police a short time later.

Surveillance video captured the first suspect at the location before the robbery.

The suspect at large is described as a 5-foot-9 Hispanic man. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and black pants.
