Glassboro man faces 16-year-prison sentence for sexually assualting boy in day care

A Glassboro man has been sentenced to 16-years in prison for sexually assaulting a toddler at an in-home day care run by his wife.

Raymond J. Martin, 49, admitted to police in interviews that he had improper contact with the four-year-old boy in 2011 while playing with him, authorities told CBS Philly.

The victim also testified saying Martin had touched him “in a private spot.”

Martin was convicted on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child in April 2014, at which time a jury was unable to reach a verdict.

According to the Courier-Post, as a result of Friday’s sentencing he must also forfeit his job with Glassboro’s public works department and register as a Megan’s Law offender after his release from prison.
