Authorities in Bucks County are seeking a suspect after a woman reported an attempted carjacking outside the Wawa in Trevose.

Bensalem police said the incident occurred at around 6 p.m. on the 200 block of Lincoln Highway, according to 6 ABC. As the woman finished pumping her gas, the suspect allegedly tried to shove her from the driver's seat to the passenger seat.

The victim was able to thwart the suspect by screaming and slamming on her horn repeatedly, which drew the attention of others at the surrounding gas pumps. Bystanders chased the suspect away from the scene and he fled on foot, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.

Investigators plan to review surveillance footage at the gas station to help direct authorities in their search for the suspect.
