A Philadelphia-based realtor and a drone pilot have teamed up on a series of virtual home tours for property listings in the city, featuring row homes in a new light. Destiny Carter and Ron Williams have seen their videos go viral on social media as they both work to build their respective brands. The videos featuring homes Philly neighborhoods have become popular on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter in recent months.

Thousands of dollars raised to send diehard Eagles fan Giovanni Hamilton to Super Bowl LVII

Philadelphia Eagles fan and podcaster Giovanni Hamilton has raised thousands of dollars in order to see the team face the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Feb. 12. Hamilton was born with Schwartz-Jampel syndrome, a rare condition that causes skeletal deformities and has required multiple surgeries. Despite his health struggles, Hamilton has developed a successful sports podcast that has featured interviews with star players including Jalen Hurts, Yannick Ngakoue, Chris Long and T.Y. Hilton.

Manayunk apartment complex proposed along Schuylkill River's flood-prone banks

Developers have proposed a 120-unit apartment complex at 3900 Main St. in Manayunk, a site that sits along the banks of the Schuylkill River in an area that saw extreme flooding during Hurricane Ida in September 2021. The former industrial corridor continues to be targeted by developers despite the flood risk and climate change models that predict more precipitation and more powerful storms in the years ahead. The proposal will be discussed by Philadelphia's Civic Design Review panel on Feb. 7.

Green Day's 'Live at the Electric Factory' joins pantheon of Philly concert albums

Green Day celebrated the 25th anniversary of "Nimrod" by releasing "Live at The Electric Factory," a complete set the pop punk band played in Philadelphia on Nov. 14, 1997. The live album, unreleased demos and other tracks are now on YouTube and streaming platforms. Here, we take a look at other notable live albums that were recorded in Philly over the years, from artists including Thin Lizzy, The Doors, Aretha Franklin, Ween and the Grateful Dead.

An 11-story apartment building with 172 units and ground-floor commercial space has been proposed at 2301 Walnut Street in Center City, where a Rite Aid pharmacy closed last year. The proposal will be heard by Philadelphia's Civic Design Review panel on Feb. 7.

Kaitlin Olson 'ran into a wall,' got black eye on first day of filming for 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" began filming for its 16th season on Thursday. Series co-creator Rob McElhenney said his wife and co-star, Kaitlin Olson, got a black eye after she "ran into a wall" ahead of the start of filming. McElhenney shared a photo of Olson with a shiner. Olson has a history of serious injuries, including a fractured skull she suffered in a bicycle accident when she was 12 years old.

Rutter's convenience store chain to expand with stores in Philly area

Rutter's, the York, Pennsylvania-based convenience store and gas station chain, will expand with 50 new stores over the next five years. The company's growth in Pennsylvania will include stores near Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and north of Altoona. Rutter's also will open its first stores in Delaware and Virginia. The company currently has 82 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.

Pennsylvania's popular bear cam returns with live feed from new den

The Pennsylvania Game Commission has brought back its beloved black bear livestream at a new den in Pike County, in northeastern Pennsylvania, after taking a year off in 2022. The 2023 camera follows a mother and three cubs who were recently born. The 24/7, remote-controlled camera includes both audio and night vision with the ability to pan, tilt and zoom.

Former Chester County golf course to be converted into public park

The former Loch Nairn Golf Club in New Garden Township is being developing into a 106-acre public park with walking and cycling trees. The park is set to open in 2024. The Chester County golf course, which opened in 1979, was sold to the township for $1.425 million last summer. The Farmstead restaurant on the property will remain open.

Two bald eagle eggs spotted on New Jersey farm's nest cam

The Duke Farms Eagle Cam, a livestream that watches over a nest at the nature preserve in Hillsborough Township, Somerset County, now shows two bald eagle eggs. Since the first camera went up at the farm in 2008, more than 12 million people have tuned in to the livestream. 29 eaglets have hatched from eggs at Duke Farms since 2005, part of a remarkable recovery in the bald eagle populations seen in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The species nearly disappeared in the late 1970s and 1980s.
