Kris Kinsey, 61, was arrested at a campsite in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in connection with a series of threats allegedly made against Democratic leaders on his Facebook page. Authorities found a semiautomatic weapon at Kinsey's Durham Township campsite.

Penn physicists get $2 million grant to develop portable COVID-19 detector

Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania are developing a portable COVID-19 detector that works by sensing chemical signatures of the illness in volatile organic compounds. A $2 million grant from the National Institutes of Health will support the development of the device, which is intended to become a screening solution at workplaces, restaurants, retail stores, stadiums and other public locations.

Bernhard "Tanner" Kahlau, 22, of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, died in skiing crash at Whiteface Mountain Ski Center in the Adirondacks on Jan. 12, 2021. Kahlau was a student at SUNY Fredonia, where he majored in business management and was a member of the Blue Devils hockey team.
