The Camden County Police Department is searching for a suspect who sexually assaulted a woman behind a bar Thursday.
Police say the male suspect approached the woman behind the Off Broadway Lounge on the 500 block of Spruce Street around 6:30 a.m. He then forced her behind a dumpster and sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male standing around 5’7” and weighing 170 pounds. He was wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, a black wave cap and high-top Nike Air Jordan sneakers with red and white soles.
The assault follows a number of reported sexual assaults on female victims in the area, which has experienced issues with drugs and prostitution, investigators say.
