Trump campaign manager Conway to lead South Jersey Christmas parade

Kellyanne Conway made history on Nov. 8 when Donald Trump was elected president of the United States. The native of Atco, Camden County, became the first woman in American history to lead a victorious campaign for the Oval Office.

According to a report from The Courier Post, Conway will be leading this year's Christmas parade in Hammonton, where she graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1985.

The Hammonton Fire Department said Conway will serve as the grand marshal of the parade, which will also be attended by Santa Claus. The GOP strategist is expected to give an address at Bellevue Avenue and Horton Street.

Unofficial poll results show Trump defeated Clinton in Hammonton by a vote count of about 3,458-2,117.

Conway began the 2016 campaign with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz but eventually took over the Trump campaign in August at a point when many believed his prospects were fading fast.

The Hammonton Christmas Parade will be held this Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m, beginning at Bellevue Avenue.
