"No one can kill a Jedi."

One of the staples of the television series "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" are the openings. They usually follow the same formula: open with time and place, have the gang talk about a subject, make a general claim about that subject, then have the title card for the episode completely contradict everything they just said. A supercut of examples can be viewed here, which includes episodes like "The Gang Gets Racist" and "The Gang Finds A Dead Guy."

YouTube user Jose Anaya decided to use that formula from the show set at a South Philly pub to spoof the entire premise of "Star Wars." Using one of the opening clips from "The Phantom Menace," the first movie chronologically in the franchise, it shows Jedi knight Qui-Gon Jinn along with a young Anakin Skywalker in "Tatooine, Pa." In the scene, when asked about his lightsaber, Jinn jokes that he might of killed a Jedi to get it. "No one can kill a Jedi," Anakin says.

Anakin, of course, goes on to become the Sith lord Darth Vader and kill (almost) all of the Jedi, setting it up perfectly for an "It's Always Sunny" spoof. Watch it below:

"It's Always Sunny" debuted it's 11th season on FXX in January. It airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m.
