Delaware Valley University to host community discussion on heroin epidemic

Delaware Valley University will host a seminar about the heroin epidemic in the community from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Life Sciences Building auditorium on campus, 700 E Butler Ave, Doylestown.

The event, to be hosted by criminal justice and counseling psychology departments, is open to the public. There is no cost to attend and no need to register in advance. Assistant District Attorney Matt Weintraub will lead the program.

Weintraub is a graduate of Temple Law School. In 1993, he joined the office as a full-time assistant district attorney. As chief of prosecution and a trial team coordinator, he is responsible for the prosecution of all manner of criminal cases including homicides and other major crimes. Weintraub also teaches courses in the university’s criminal justice department.
