Either DeMarco Murray really wants to be an Eagle, or he's trying to scare the Cowboys into increasing their offer.

Last week, the Eagles traded away the 2013 NFL rushing champion. They may soon be adding the 2014 rushing champion. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray will be visiting the Eagles on Thursday:

"Mutual interest" between the Eagles and Murray was initially reported on Tuesday, but Murray seems to be especially interested in playing for the Eagles. He reportedly reached out personally to Chip Kelly, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN. Former college teammate Sam Bradford also said today in his initial press conference that he has been recruiting Murray to sign with the Eagles. Murray's scheduled visit to Philly is a strong indication he will be joining the team.

Murray led the NFL in 2014 with 1845 rushing yards, with the next closest player being the Steelers' Le'Veon Bell, who had 1361. That would be a difference of 484 yards. Murray had an enormous workload last season. Including the playoffs, he had 436 carries and caught 61 passes, for a total of 497 touches.

The Eagles have had their share of RB drama this offseason:

• They traded LeSean McCoy.

• They agreed to terms with Frank Gore.

• Frank Gore changed his mind.

• They reportedly agreed to terms with the Chargers' Ryan Mathews.

And now, they may be adding the best RB in the NFL.
