The whole city will show some Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection to its favorite outdoor spaces during Love Your Park Week. Running Saturday, May 9, through Sunday, May 17, parks across the city will host cleanups, arts and crafts and parties to celebrate.

It all kicks off with Volunteer Day May 9, during which parks around the city will equip helping hands with gloves and tools. Together, neighborhoods will clean up their spaces. Participating parks can be found here; all you need to do is show up. Many parks will also host outdoor events and fairs on Volunteer Day.

The dozens of events that follow include "Art in the Park" days, a free weekly arts and crafts class that travels to six city parks each week. The Center City District parks will host live music during the week, as well as their weekly summer BYO program, Pairings on the Parkway

Capping off the week is a "LOVE Your Park" Trolley Tour through Fairmount Park complete with light refreshments. Tickets are required and cost $38 for non-members and $30 for members.

May 17 also marks the opening of the weeklong "Rooms in Bloom" exhibit throughout the Fairmount Park house museums. In celebration of International Museum Day, free admission will be offered opening day from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
