PA Ballet kicks off 2018-2019 season with ‘Romeo & Juliet’

The Pennsylvania Ballet will kick-off its 2018-2019 season with the company premier of Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo & Juliet. There are 10 performances scheduled between Thursday, October 11th and Sunday, October 21st at the Academy of Music. Tickets are on sale now.

Considered one of the 20th century’s best adaptions, this moving ballet embraces Shakespeare’s passionate love story through breathtaking choreography and monumental set designs that showcase the beauty of love and the devastation of death.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to kick-start this season than with one of the most powerful love stories in the world,” said Angel Corella, the ballet’s artistic director. “Romeo & Juliet was always one of my favorite ballets to perform and we’re very proud that our company has the opportunity to share this stunning ballet. Everyone who sees it will understand why it’s considered the greatest ballet of all time.”
