Police investigate triple shooting in Kensington

Police are investigating a triple shooting in Kensington, 6ABC reports.

The incident occurred after 11:30 p.m. Thursday on the 2800 block of N. Swanson St.

Police say three people were injured after at least 15 shots were fired from two guns. A 20-year-old man was shot in the back, a 21-year-old female was shot in the leg, and a 36-year-old man was shot twice in the leg.

The victims were transported to Temple University Hospital in stable condition, and one victim was released a short time later.

Police say one person of interest is being questioned after they stopped a vehicle near the scene.

"The operator of that vehicle, a female, was acting suspicious," Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told 6ABC. "So right now we are holding that vehicle as part of the scene, and detectives are questioning the female, who was seen driving from the scene of this triple shooting."

The incident remains under investigation.
