A man was hospitalized Sunday night after he was beaten by a pair of thieves attempting to steal a tire off his car in Cheltenham Township, NBC10 reports.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at Mather and Wagner ways in the Lynnewood Gardens apartment complex.
Police say the man came across the suspects attempting to steal a tire from his Chevy Cruze. When he tried to stop them, they allegedly beat him with a tire iron and a brick.
The victim, who remained hospitalized in serious condition Monday morning, was able to provide police with a description of the suspects.
The two were found hiding out in Ambler and were arrested.
Police said the pair's car -- also a Chevy Cruze -- needed a tire.
