It's always exciting when the Food Trust reveals its next Night Market location, but it's even better when the street food festival announces it's heading to a location it hasn't been to before.
The Sept. 1 food truck fest will be located under I-95, in the neighborhood of Pennsport, at Front Street and Snyder Avenue.
One of the goals of Night Market events is to encourage Philadelphians to venture outside their own neighborhood and explore new territory.
The allure of delicious street eats, like Mac Mart's mac & cheese, Kono Pizza's handheld cone slices and Waffles & Wedges' sweet and savory dishes, usually draws a large crowd. The exact lineup of participating food trucks hasn't been released yet, but many of Philly's most popular street fare providers attend Night Market.
Besides lots of food and drink, the night will feature live music from Chill Moody, a West Philly hip-hop artist.
