Center City hotel to celebrate French wine, champagne this fall

Two words: Sangria bar

The Center City hotel Sofitel Philadelphia will celebrate "vendanges" or, for the non-French speaking, the grape harvest this fall. Traditionally, September marks the beginning of grape season

While the fruit is delicious on its own, for many it's better after fermentation. Sofitel is one place that enjoys their grapes in the form of wine and is showing it by hosting a French Wine Fair on Sept. 29.

The French-themed celebration doesn't end there, however. A Champagne Brunch will take place on two dates in October.

 French Wine Fair

Several wine distributors come together for one premier tasting event in Liberté Lounge. Sample more than two dozen wines, as well as an extensive array of local and international cheeses and charcuterie.

Thursday, Sept. 29
5-7 p.m.
