Projecting what the Eagles' free agents will make in free agency, and their compensatory pick values

While Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles had compensatory picks on the brain last offseason, they are highly unlikely to factor them in when making roster decisions in 2020.

A look around at the Eagles' rivals' soon-to-be free agents

The Philadelphia Eagles have their biggest offseason in three years on the horizon, and in the NFC East, they're not alone, as the New York Giants, the Washington team, and most of all, the Dallas Cowboys, all have critical decisions to make over the next few months. Let's take a look at the Eagles' rivals' most notable free agents.

Three free agents who make sense for the Eagles, version 3.0

Due to salary cap constraints the last couple of offseasons, the Eagles could not go on spending sprees like they have done in the past under Howie Roseman. In 2020, however, armed with some cap space at their disposal, and needing to plug glaring roster holes, the Eagles are primed to make some noise in free agency.

Where the Eagles' 2019 season went wrong, part I: Big pass plays allowed

In 2019, including the playoffs, the Philadelphia Eagles allowed 16 pass plays of 40-plus yards, or just a hair under one per game. No team allowed more. To get an idea of what went wrong, I found all of them, in addition to some other big plays that were just shy of 40 yards.

Final thoughts (and spoilers) on Amazon's 'All or Nothing: A Season with the Philadelphia Eagles'

In case you were unaware, Amazon's "All or Nothing" sports-documentary franchise went behind the scenes of the 2019 Philadelphia Eagles, tracking them from training camp to the end of the season. The series will air on Amazon Prime Video on February 7. The folks at Amazon were kind enough to send me an advance copy of episodes 1-4. I watched them, and I'll give a bunch of random thoughts on the series, in no particular order.

Eagles stay or go: Coaches and front office

Over a couple of weeks in January, we went position-by-position, and analyzed every player on the roster, attempting to project who will be back in 2020, and who won't. In hindsight, we probably should have done the coaches and front office first, since, you know, decisions are made on those guys before they're made on the players. Oops. Next year. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
