Murder charges filed against men at center of investigation into Bucks County woman's death in Miami

Evoire Collier and Dorian Taylor, both of North Carolina, are charged with murder for the death of 24-year-old Christine Englehardt, a Bucks County woman who was found dead in her Miami hotel room during a spring break trip in March.

Amazon Fresh is now open at the Creekview Center in Warrington, Bucks County. It's the first Amazon Fresh grocery store to open in Pennsylvania, with another store planned in Bensalem and possible third rumored for a development project in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.

South Jersey man allegedly killed wife, then parked next to police station

Shawn Lichtfuss, 49, is charged with first-degree murder for the death of his wife, 38-year-old Stefanie Caraway, at their home in Camden County, prosecutors said. The woman was strangled, according to the medical examiner. Lichtfuss was found in his parked car next to the Vorhees Township Police Department.

Blink-182 almost got M. Night Shyamalan to direct a music video

Blink-182's Mark Hoppus had former bandmate Tom DeLonge join him on his "After School Radio" podcast, where the two recalled once meeting M. Night Shyamalan in Japan and discussing the possibility of the director making a music video for them. Hoppus is undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer, inspiring a recent boom in Blink-182 appreciation.

The Philadelphia Eagles community and family members of Kevin Chaffinch are mourning his death after the 41-year-old husband and father of two suffered a fatal heart attack in July. Chaffinch was a founding member of the Philadelphia Eagles Drumline.

Pennsylvania girl suffers apparent shark bite at Maryland beach

A 12-year-old Pennsylvania girl suffered an apparent shark bite while visiting Ocean City, Maryland, with her family on Monday. The bite happened in shallow water off the 119th Street Beach, officials said. The girl required 42 stitches for 20 different cuts. The Ocean City Beach Patrol said the incident remains under investigation.

Longwood Gardens closes for days after truck crashes into visitor center

Longwood Gardens will be closed until Wednesday, Aug. 4 due to a tractor-trailer crash at the east side of the visitor center at the popular Kennett Square destination. Ticket purchases will be refunded for the days impacted by the closure. No serious injuries were reported in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Delta much more contagious than other COVID-19 variants, CDC document says

An Internal CDC document warns the Delta variant is far more infectious and potentially more severe than previous strains of COVID-19. New evidence suggests the Delta variant may be just as easily spread by unvaccinated people and vaccinated people who get a breakthrough infection. The vaccines remain effective in preventing serious illness, but with half the U.S. population still unvaccinated, officials are increasingly worried that the Delta variant could cause a much more serious coronavirus resurgence than had been anticipated.

Fishtown's Kensington National Bank building could be redeveloped with apartments

Developers are proposing a plan to redevelop the site of the former Kensington Bank Building in Fishtown, which is currently the site of a Wells Fargo Bank. A proposal would add a new building on the surface parking lot at 2 West Girard Avenue, with 59 residential units and ground floor commercial space. The bank building was constructed in 1978 and designed by architect Frank Furness.
