A Quakertown father and his two sons were killed on Christmas morning in a house fire that investigators believe may have been caused by lights on a Christmas tree. Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck identified the father as 41-year-old Eric King. His children, 11 and 8, were not identified Saturday. A mother and son living in an adjoining home that also caught fire managed to escape and were treated at a local hospital for burns and smoke inhalation.

Frodo, the last surviving dog rescued from Michael Vick's dogfighting compound, died last Saturday at approximately 15 years old. A total of 48 dogs were saved from the property in Virginia, where authorities discovered a disturbing dogfighting ring that landed Vick in federal prison for 21 months before he returned to the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kids who want to visit the Cherry Hill Mall on the day after Christmas, Dec. 26, must be accompanied by a parent or an adult over the age of 21, with proof of age ready in order to gain admittance. The South jersey mall will increase police presence in and around the property. The policy has been in place for three years now after a flash mob caused a large disturbance at the mall on Dec. 26, 2017.

Joseph C. Tedder, 22, was arrested in Pittsburgh this week in connection with an alleged shoplifting incident at a Dollar Tree store where he had been working. Investigators learned that Tedder was wanted in connection with a homicide that happened in Austin, Texas in early November.

United Airlines and Delta Airlines together canceled more than 200 flights scheduled for Christmas Eve as they face crew shortages driven by the surge in coronavirus cases caused by the omicron variant. The staffing challenges could continue to disrupt flights and alter travel plans through Christmas and the rest of the holiday season.

NASA's launch of the James Webb Space Telescope is scheduled to take place Christmas morning on Saturday, Dec. 25 between 7:20 and 7:52 a.m. Eastern time. You can stream the historic event online at NASA Live or on NASA's various social media channels, in addition to watching a stream from Space.com. The Webb Space Telescope, launching from the Guiana Space Center, will be the world's most powerful space observatory and will serve as a successor to the Hubble Space Telescope.

Five suspects who were found inside the stolen vehicle of U.S. Rep, Mary Gay Scanlon were taken into custody in Delaware on Wednesday night as part of an ongoing investigation into the carjacking incident that happened in South Philadelphia yesterday afternoon, police said. Scanlon, who was held up by two armed suspects, was not harmed but had her Acura MDX and personal belongings taken by the suspects.

A Wawa employee at a store in Millville, New Jersey, performed life-saving CPR on a woman who was found unconscious in a bathroom. High school student John Wallup, 19, who works at the store's deli counter, utilized the CPR training he had learned while taking a certification course with his grandmother. The woman in distress resumed breathing, thanks to Wallup, and was taken to a local hospital by paramedics. Wawa said it plans to acknowledge Wallup for his heroics.

Matthew Branning, 50, and Michael Stark, 47, went missing on Oct. 15 under circumstances that Bucks County investigators say are suspicious. The district attorney's office is requesting assistance from the public to locate the two men, who were co-workers at a manufacturing company in Silverdale.

U.S. Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, D-Pennsylvania, was carjacked at gunpoint by two suspects near FDR Park in South Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon, a spokesperson for the Congresswoman said. The suspects stole her personal belongings before fleeing the scene in her Acura MDX. Scanlon, 62, was not physically harmed in the incident. An investigation is underway with Philadelphia police.
