The project would include 107 apartments and commercial space on the ground floor. The proposal is just steps away from SEPTA's Girard Station on the Market-Frankford subway line.

John Devivo, 56, of Bala Cynwyd, was charged with trafficking crystal methamphetamine in Montgomery County after authorities allegedly found with $30,000 worth of the drug at his residence on the Main Line. Meth use has been on the rise in the United States in recent years has been increasingly linked to fatal overdoses in combination with the deadly synthetic opioid fentanyl.

Westcott Electric Company, based in Aston, Pa., agreed to pay more than $50,000 to resolve claims arising from its use of Chinese-made parts for a federal grant-funded renovation project at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. The contractor was failed to obtain a waiver to use foreign parts, which is required under a 'Buy American' preference in federally-funded Amtrak projects.

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia received a $25 million gift to expand its Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment. The donation was provided by the Wood family, founders of Wawa, and will support clinical, educational and research efforts in the area of fetal medicine.

Philadelphia will require people to wear masks indoors until at least June 11 — the target date to lift the city's remaining COVID-19 restrictions, health officials said Wednesday. As of Friday, May 21, the city's outdoor mask requirement will be fully removed.

An eight-year-old child was injured at Camelback Mountain Adventures in the Poconos on May 14, 2021 after she fell nearly 30 feet from a zipline, police said. The incident is being investigated by the rides and amusement division of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

Incumbent Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner has won the Democratic primary against challenger Carlos Vega, securing a probable path to a second term and nod to his progressive reform agenda. Just after midnight on Wednesday, with 90% of voting divisions reporting, Krasner led Vega with 30% more votes. The Associated Press called the race for Krasner at midnight, and the results remain unofficial until certified by elections officials.
